We are a family run business based in the West Midlands. Founded and owned by Mr. Simon Harris, MakeOverUPVC has built up years of experience working within the uPVC industry. As a side project, Simon began designing and creating hand crafted planters from the versatile material his MakeOver business had thrived on. Seeing the potential for stunning results and a niche gap in the market, various planters were created and without much promotion were being sold quickly within the local area. This lead to the planters being part of the MakeOverUPVC business, but we found that people were slightly confused when visiting our website to order our uPVC cleaning solutions, only to see pages of photographs involving plants cluttering the site. This got us thinking about separating the planter range from the MakeOverUPVC franchise and to operate under a different name. After a brainstorming session, we decided to go with the 'Plant Pot Men' theme and thus Bill 'n' Ben's was born.

Bill 'n' Ben's is a new concept venture who produce sleek, vibrant and stylish planters that are truly unique. Never failing to turn heads and attract attention, our range of uPVC planters make a superb addition to any environment they are placed in. Popular areas of the home include conservatories, as our white or granite designs make a perfect impact on the appearance, along with bathrooms and studies where our planters can be customised to suit the decor of the room. We wish to stress the point that our planters can be built to your own personal preferences and specifications of colour, size, plant, decoration and style. There are things we recommend, such as white decorative stones, and when you Contact Us we may also recommend certain plants. This venture has been running since 2006, under the MakeOverUPVC name, but has now come in to its own in 2009 as our customer base and sales grow. With a new identity under the Bill 'n' Ben's name, we look forward to a bright future providing our unique planters to the public. The team here at Bill 'n' Ben's offer a friendly service and we look forward to working with those of you that decide to get in touch about our products or services. We also offer a lease service that is perfect for customers who wish to decorate an area with our planters but do not require them on a permanent basis.

MakeOverUPVC was a venture taken by Simon Harris after deciding he would work for himself in the field of uPVC. With years of experience working for large fitting firms and contacts built from that time as a foundation, Simon saw that although uPVC windows were the right way to insulate your home; the after-care service of these companies was almost non-existent. Armed with the knowledge of how the industry works and a vision to allow the public to keep their frames looking new, MakeOverUPVC was founded and work began. We now boast many happy customers and a client list that grows daily. This popularity and demand lead to Simon building up a small work force of family and close friends. With myself, Carl, able to use my IT knowledge, we set about obtaining an online presence to aid in the growth of MakeOverUPVC and now our sister company Bill 'n' Ben's.

Our planters are hand crafted from 100% uPVC and we use top quality soil and plants to maximise the head turning results our planters create. People often comment or ask about the plants being artificial, as they are so well looked after that it can be hard to believe they are real. We are exploring the possibility of using artificial plants to decorate our planters; but up to this point (July 2009), all our range seen in the Gallery or otherwise are planted with real plants and flowers. We will make an announcement on the News & Views page and tag any images that include them, should we pursue the idea of using artificial plants within our range. As our range of products are built from uPVC, they are durable, weather resistant and easy to maintain. You can purchase our uPVC MakeOver Pack from makeoverupvc.co.uk, which includes a bottle of uPVC Cream Cleaner, used for interior plastics, that is perfect for keeping your uPVC planter in vibrant condition. Planters from Bill 'n' Ben's are customisable in a variety of ways, including size, colour, style, plants and decoration; including lights, trellis, stones and ornaments. We hope to add photos of concepts outside of our standard builds as often as we can, as we try to help spark your imagination in regards to just how much scope for variety there is. We've seen our planters accessorised with marbles, glitter, fairy statues and much more. All of which can be done during the build of your order, all you need to do is Ask Us. Our standard specifications of size are 1ft x 1ft on single plant planters and 1.5ft x 1ft on double planted planters. The prices will vary dependant upon the style of uPVC that is used in creating the planter. There are many varieties of uPVC including plain and textured effects in a wide variety of colours. We will attempt to display the scope of this range of effects; that include wood grain, mosaic, marble, granite and patterns, within our Gallery. Everything we produce is crafted with care and attention to detail and are time consuming. We feel our prices are very competitive within this market and challenge you to find anything as unique and vibrant as our range!

Designing your planters is simple. Just measure the intended area and take a look at the colour scheme of that room or environment. Then Contact Us with your details to receive a free, non-obligatory quote. However, this feature does carry terms and conditions that should be noted before making your order with us. Most important to note is that this feature is not 100% guaranteed, as we may turn down orders we deem too small and not cost effective to our business. You can visit our Gallery to help you in creating your own uPVC planters from Bill 'n' Ben's. Planters can be built for indoor or outdoor use and planted to suit those areas. We recommend Yucca, Fuchsia, Madagascar Dragon, Australian Butterfly, Lizards Tongue and Cordyline plants, trees, palms and grasses for excellent results. Outdoor planters offer the chance to get creative with solar lights and trellis work. Prices vary dependant upon the style and quality of solar light you purchase. Metal and plastic lamps are available in a wide variety of styles and sizes, which means you should put some thought in to the plants and accessories combined, so as neither over-power the other. We will offer our advice during an order to help work to your budget and get the best results from the end product. If you are wanting planters created for indoor use, lights are also a nice little feature to have. Decorative stones of all kinds can be used to personalise your planters; to fit in with the decor of the room it is to be placed. Bathrooms come alive with the addition of our planters built in the mosaic effect, whilst conservatories are enhanced in feel and impact when featuring our pure white uPVC planters. You can mix & match the panels and trims as you see fit, however, we recommend mixing black trim with white panels and white trim with mosaic panels. We are happy to discuss our lease service with customers of all sizes and needs. Planters can be themed to your event or area (see 'Designing You Own Planter' opposite) and then hired from us for a desired amount of time for a small fee. When hiring our planters, you have the option of taking full advantage of our maintenance service that is included in longer term contracts. We will visit your site or premises on a regular as needed basis to clean the planters and maintain the condition of the plants and any decoration. The added incentive here is that we will be using our industrial strength products, which are available at our parent company's website www.makeoverupvc.co.uk, to keep the planters in vibrant and attention grabbing condition. We have a PayPal account set up for our parent company website that can be used to transact payments for products sold here at billnbens.co.uk. This means that you can order and pay for your product online using a debit or credit card. We also accept cheques, made payable to Mr. Simon Harris and cash payments made upon delivery or collection. Planters can be collected or we can deliver them to you for a small charge. Delivery is free within a 10 mile radius of Junction 9 of the M6 in the Black Country region of the West Midlands and/or a 10 mile radius of The Emporium Craft Village, Bridgnorth Road, Wolverhampton.
